Where I live I'm surrounded by vineyard and the grapes are sour, with huge seeds and a thick skin (but the wine they are turned into si great). What kind of wine would make funny table grapes like the ones mentioned here ?

What makes table grapes so different from grapes destined to be wine ? Which one is the closest to the "original" grape ?
