That's pretty much how it is in America, but I was confused about the P and L on the license plate. There is no difference between a person with a permit's plate and one with their full license's plate. To figure out if a person has their permit or license you would have to look at their drivers license. It looks like Australia's system is better. Thanks for the explanation. :D

Why do they format the date correctly? I thought that year 0 started when their O'Glorious Leader was born.
