That's something I find really, really shitty. You had friends drop because you lost hair? Fuck those people. You pull off hairless very well!

Dude that's so lame. I'm sure at the time it really sucked, but you can take solace in the fact that you're better off without them.

I'm not saying it's easy to be there for someone (especially with two totally insane things happening to you at once), but that's what you do for your friends. Tickets to baseball is such a dumb excuse.

I remember in 2016 I had just gotten off the plane from a week long work trip/8 hours of travel directly to one of my best friend's father's funeral. I remember thinking how I wanted to go home and just spend time with my wife, and I think that's when it all hit me: When you become good friends with anyone, there's an emotional significance. Their joy is, to an extent, your joy, as you'll be happy for them to be happy. On the flipside, their pain is also, to an extent, your pain, and your burden, etc. If you are unable to be with them through the hard times, then you don't need to share in the good times either.

Sorry I got off into a bit of a rant there, but it was a significant moment for me because I did have that selfish thought of, "It will make me sad, and I don't want to be sad" but then it was overcome so quickly by, "Well that's a stupid fucking thought."

You definitely deserve good people, as everyone does, but for some folks it takes so long to understand how to be a human being that it doesn't hit them until they're much older than the problems they ran from and they have to reflect on how they could have just skipped out on a fucking baseball game to console a friend whose mother just died.

Good luck to you in everything!

When you give out any of your wares (like to your employees or to friends) do you include a little note that says something like, "Happy Birthday! Go fuck yourself!" and have it taken in good context?
