You might find it interesting to know the deaf people converse through sign language in their sleep and some even sign in their sleep.

I'm not sure about thought, but I think they would also think through sign language. We never really think through fully formed words, merely the concept of language in thought. The deaf still have a language, it's simply expressed physically rather than vocally.
