I’m really glad that things have come along with treatments in the last couple of decades. I worked in a hospital when HIV first came on the scene. I also lost a family member to the disease. Even though it was medically acquired he went through a lot of prejudice and lost his job. He had slurs about being homosexual (which was not accepted at the time). Have you experienced much prejudice?

I didn’t know that. I wonder if covid19 will be similar? Time will tell I guess.

I find it strange that the current covid epidemic is met with such disregard. It’s much more serious than HIV in my opinion. I think there’s probably a lot of ignorance about HIV still. Thankfully there’s more acceptance now and it’s non-transmissible with medications. I’m sorry you’ve experienced negative reactions. In many ways covid19 is much more worrisome but I think as it’s not mainly sexually transmitted it hasn’t got the stigma so people disregard it. Having been through both epidemics I think the current one is much more threatening. Strange times. I really hope that they can find a way of eliminating HIV entirely. Fingers crossed STILL.🤞
