Her state was one of the worst a few years ago for over prescription, now it's cracking down and (although not officially) many prescribers look down on conditions like fibro that cannot be proven or disproven, when it comes to giving pain killers. Which really sucks for a lot of people Then they turn to drugs to help their pain, and when those drugs show up on a test panel, nurses see that they are 'actively pursuing drugs', and are even more hesitant to give opioids.
