What inspired you to get into a field like that?

As someone who has never excelled at any sport I have much admiration for those with talent and drive. However, I would personally find it difficult to knowingly put myself at a higher risk of cognitive disabilities in late mid life unless being payed very handsomely. Like Floyd Mayweather type of money.

How do you come to terms with the potential for side effects in your 40-50s for something that is not paying the bills?

I hope this comment doesn't come across as condescending or rude. I am genuinely curious as to the way you view the risks.

I'm willing to be all 3 pennies saved in my savings account that the DUI laws will take time to change even after this technology comes available to the mass public.

I'm sure part of the stipulation of putting self driving cars on the road will be the existence of manual over ride controls and a sober driving that can take control of the vehicle if necessary - kind of like what is done in airplanes today.

We won't be legally allowed to hop shitfaced in our self driving cars when they first come out.

I'd bet a lot of money that I don't have on it.

There are side effects (some more insignificant than others) for virtually every medication, and those that are psychoactive are no exclusion. The choice you make in taking medication is "are the possible side effects worth the benefit?"

But yes, most research points to evidence that the developing brain is more susceptible to long term drug induced changes than a non-developing brain. However, this has not stopped doctors from prescribing psychoactive medications like methylphenidates for long term use in children and adolescents.

May you conquer their cities and take their women.

I mean, good luck.

Edit: I appreciate the response. Good health and good luck on your future endeavors.
