Are you happy with the general state of sci-fi entertainment of recent times? It seems to be a genre that suffers poorly in these days of film-by-numbers Hollywood tat, not to mention a huge trove of terrible, cheap books given virtual shelf space on Amazon.

Personally, it makes it difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff. I'm just glad i managed to discover your work (and that of the late Mr Banks). Has the rise of Amazon made it easier or harder for you to gain readership?
