What is your view, which impacts cinematography, of POV versus 3rd person / voyeur perspective?

I hear that consistently from adult marketing. But...Does it necessarily immerse? General criticism is that it is overly visually imposing, and body and skin type mismatch with the viewer are magnified. Wandering through a sex party, for example, or watching performers from any angle, might be equally immersive from a voyeuristic fantasy.
