Personal preference without reasoning definitely exists among thinking about God; however, this also exists among those who prefer to believe that none exists.

That said, there are many that have reached their belief not based on aesthetic, but on careful consideration of the issues concerning each system of belief. I hate to link a short video instead of laying things out in text, but this man (and his colleague) do the topic justice better than I could. Please listen to it, since I feel that it addresses the basic core of this discussion.

Missionaries on the ground do that. Missionary aviators are the ones that solve logistical challenges faced by those missionaries.
