Ridley, a few years ago, you brought Amy Tan with you for a tour of my place of employment. She brought along her dog, which wasn't allowed out on grounds - I got asked to take care of it for a few hours.

I'm not a small person, and that was a tiny, tiny dog. I don't know that I've ever been more nervous. I was about positive that this dog was going to up and die on my watch, and I couldn't imagine having to tell my mother that I killed her favorite authors dog. So, I made a deal with the pooch - I told it that if it lived for the next few hours, I'd do nothing but pet it.

Having to tell my CEO, "I'm sorry, I can't do that. I'm petting a very important dog right now," is one of the highlights of my career.

My son, nine, was diagnosed with hydrocephalus this spring, and had ETV surgery to correct it. How common is it for something like this to be diagnosed at this age? It wasn't caused by trauma - I'm still questioning how and why. His surgeon used the word "cured" at his six month check, and I still can't quite believe it ever happened, let alone that he's cured.

youre just flat out wrong here, kid. The Saint Louis zoo not only successfully breeds hellbenders, but also tags and releases them back into the wild. Check out their Ron Goellner Center for the Hellbender, under the umbrella of their WildCare Institution.

Not to trot out a sob story, but.....my kid's was in the hospital for a few days. 8 years old, bored out of his mind, listening to a baby in the next room crying and crying and crying. We entertained ourselves for awhile by looking at your pancake pics. He like the Nick Fury cake the most, I think.

I'm a fellow St. Louis person - we'll be at Corvid's when you come back - I'm assuming you'll let us know through FB? Kid has a request for you to make a Dancake of his super swollen face.
