Not op, obvs, but I've worked with a couple different FnB groups. There are a few reasons for this:

*food not bombs chapters are for the most part autonomous, so each group is made of whomever shows up to help. This means there is no overarching nation or world wide group to collect funding.

*501 c3 status costs more in time, and money than most FnB groups have. This is a group who scrapes together donated veggies to make a meal, and likely borrows a folding table to serve on.
