Hi Reece,
How is the situation in the south in the Mariupol area? My ex and I have a summer cottage close by in Melekyne but have not been that way since the war started. She is afraid to go there since she carries a Russian passport and worries that she would be mistreated. Is she worrying needlessly?

Thanks. We are not together at this point, different story. But she lives in Belgorod. They used to border cross all the time for shopping in Kharkiv but stopped due to the change in visa regulations and the vibes at the border. Not too worried about the house, ex has an aunt that lives close enough to see the house from where she lives so even though they are not on great speaking terms right now (family things not the war) tetya Luba will be sure to keep it safe. The house is on the main coast road on the bluff overlooking the village. If you know where there is a statue honoring sailors, pretty close to there. One of the great disappointments was the destruction of the airport in Donetsk. I have done Kiev to Melekyne twice by road. I think my back still hurts. Thanks for the info. I really hope to get back there some day.
