2nd Polish names are pretty language specific, just like russian names are(think dimitri, vitaly and so on) Polish is a slavic language. So let's take a look. Sonja DeJagmin Mirska Sonja - if this would be a polish name im pretty sure it'd be Sonia DeJagmin - we don't have a thing calling people DeSomething like hispanics (think DeAngelo) Mirska - Could be polish, but the origin is probably russian as mir means dream in russian
3rd Poland never surrendered in the World wars and polish people are very proud of that, however we have been overrun from both sides. But we continued fighting with the allies (303 fighter squadron for example if you are curious). Poland was the only allied country that actually "lost the war" because after WW2 Poland lost it's sovereignty, it was occupied by the russians
