Peter, what are some of the hard examples you find yourself using these days when you present the idea that the rate of technological progress has slowed? I assume you are calling upon the energy area, to make this case.

Could you talk about some of the operational and physical constraints to simulation theory (Bostrom, et al)? While compelling, I find it hard to conceive of the energy-harnessing demands that such an operation would require. Crossing some technological threshold, in this regard, would seem only one prerequisite as total energy demand would seem to be rather important. Additionally, as much as I like the Bostrom hypothesis, I also find trouble imagining the resolution, required. It would see to me that the simulation would have to operate on both large and small scales, even as small as the Planck Level. Thanks!
