How important is it that members of a band be friends?

Wonder if friendship is important to have major success. I was thinking about Beatles. Mick Jagger called them "the four-headed monster" because whenever you saw one you saw all four of them. That made me think maybe they were good friends and that helped their phenomenal success.

What should someone who doesn't know much about mountain biking look for to know if a rider is a good rider or not?

In general, how positive are psychiatrists in their own lives? Do they hear a lot of depressing stories from patients? How does it affect them?
