We just started pre-production on the new album today! We have about 25 songs written and are paring it down to the best 15 and THEN probably releasing 12 for the album. I think we're starting actual tracking in January and will finish that in two months - then a month of mixing and then the "industry standard" release time for a record after delivery to the label is 3 months so... June of 2013.

We're all from the same town in Canada, "Newmarket, Ontario". We also all went to the same elementary/high school "Bogart P.S. and Newmarket High". My sister and Dave's sister were friends in Nursery school - Dave's sister jumped on my mom's back during my sister's third birthday party and my mom's spine hasn't been the same since. Did you know that? (READ IN A BILL NYE REVERB VOICE!) WELL NOW YOU KNOW!

We got signed after a showcase set at Pop Montreal in 2005 - Lexi of "Magneta Lane", a band on PaperBag Records, gave us a shout out and the heads of that label came to see us. We were/are very grateful for the opportunity that label gave us - they put out our first releases and gave us our start. We signed with Saddle Creek because we're fans of their artists/business and because it's VERY hard to make a career as a Canadian indie band when you only tour Canada. There's only 10 major cities in this country so if you can make a go of the States, you should. Signing to an American indie gave us a foothold in that territory that we otherwise wouldn't have and allowed us to tour there way more extensively. So I think signing to Saddle Creek allowed us to have a career that made making music our full time jobs.
