Worked for a PI for over 3 years. Do not need a degree in anything. In NC, it is required you work under a PI for 3000 hours, until you can become fully licensed by the state to do work for yourself. It took my boss 2.5 years to accumulate enough time to get licensed and open his own firm. He makes over 100K a year, typically handling 1 or 2 cases a week. 80% of his business is attorney referrals for domestic cases, but he does a lot of advertising as well to bring in business.

Do you strictly stick to GM cars, or do you get involved with Fords? Grew up near Rockingham NC, love watching Chevys blow Fords away.
