Do you have any advice for people who are financially stable but still sometimes fall prey to conspiracy theories? I am financially very comfortable but I ended up getting really into the 9/11 conspiracies for years before snapping out of it. It’s something I would really like to avoid in the future but I catch myself buying into little nuggets of bullshit all the time.

I hate to be that guy, I’m sure you are sick of hearing it...but if one of my greatest fears was caused by something I was doing to myself on purpose, I think I would quit at all costs.

I would have liked the scene better like this.

I just found out one by one that each of the talking points I had been repeating were either misinformed, twisting the facts, or just downright incorrect. One day I was having a conversation with someone about it and I realized that all the evidence I knew about that I was about to bring up I had already decided was bullshit, so I just stopped.

Yes, I had lots of free time. Still do. I can definitely see that being a big factor. It takes a lot of time reading forums and watching videos to really get yourself invested in a conspiracy theory.
