Its different from state to state. I'm from California and the law is you have to be paid at least minimum wage($9.00) and you get all your tips on top of that. This was when I was around 18, and I was making at least 3x my states minimum wage every night. Some nights I would get even more.

People love to complain about this industry in America on this website, but I preferred it.
