I'd be more sympathetic to Polanski and willing to consider redemption if he hadn't fled from the consequences of his actions or was willing to turn himself in to face the consequences. Being as neither of those are the case, can he really be redeemed?

It's my understanding that Catalonia had a symbolic vote back in 2014 that was split 80% to 20% in favor of separation with approximately the same number of voters as yesterday. With the actions the Spanish government took, I would not be surprised if this galvanized the Catalonian population, which claims a 90% victory with 43% of the population or voting population (i'm not sure which one)

When I was in Valencia, I was staying in a hostel. I met this old guy who was staying there. He was from Valencia, so I don't know why he was staying at a hostel. Maybe his wife kicked him out. There was a language barrier, but he showed me around the city. He seemed like he was very knowledgeable about physics and space, so I assumed he was some sort of physicist. Anyway, I got the impression that he hated the police. I think he called them chickens.

My mother says that my great-grandmother claims the KKK burned a cross in their front yard when my grandmother was an infant because they were Catholic. Lived in Indiana.
