Board games are the perfect kickstarter product, really. There's no technology risk, low execution risk (assuming creators have done their diligence and actually know how much money they need) and backers pretty much know exactly what they're going to get if the campaign is successful.

If you believe there weren't any profits, why do you believe that OP is grabbing any benefits, let alone all of them? It's true that Kickstarter allows board game designers to reduce risk, but as long as designers who successfully raise funds on kickstarter faithfully execute their projects, then who loses?

Well considering most of the TPP opponents were opponents before the text was even negotiated or made public (i.e. before they knew what they were opposing), how else are they supposed to justify their opposition?
