I think I can honestly say that what you should do right now is gamble a little more. After all, you had a below 0.1% to hit that losing streak, as you yourself said; surely there must be at least one win round the corner? If you won back just part of what you lost, your story would be easier to bear for all involved; you wouldn't look so bad; you might even survive the semester? Besides, you've come this far: what more have you got to lose?
You owe it your fiance to at least try, don't you? You owe it to yourself, too, Bob- of course you do. Just think: what more harm could there possibly be in going just one more time? ... And yet compared to that, how much more gain! :)
