Okay, I am going to gush. Get ready for some cringe-inducing words from a mega fan (no pun intended, I swear):

In short, the Mega Man franchise is the reason for my obsession and wishful thinking for the future and its technological advances.

Specifically, the EXE and SF era. Literally any boost in tech I see, I instantly think of the "Mega Man" world. Smartphones, touch screens, augmented reality displays, having every device connect online, etc all of this stuff gets me excited for what can come next. Hearing about people being able to remotely turn off their lights after they left their house, close their garage doors, lock their homes with their mobile devices, this all just made me think of PETs. Have you seen Pranav Mistry's Sixth Sense TedTalk? When I gave up on creativity, that video re-inspired my creative flow. In highschool I struggled between choosing mechanical engineering or electrical engineering because I buckled down and got "realistic" about my life. But that quickly dissipated. I wrote my college essay on Mega Man and what it meant to me cause I wanted to showcase my passion! (Cringey, I know, but I have no shame.) Granted, it might be why I didn't get into many colleges I wanted to get into, but like I said, no regrets.

I had a great childhood netbattling with friends and falling in love with the worlds. I bought every battle network and star force game I could find. The GameBoyAdvance was probably my favorite video game system because of battle network. As a kid, I printed out several dozen colored pages of MegaMan.exe style changes and hung them on the wall. (My dad was upset with the waste of ink, haha) I even learned a nice assortment of random vocabulary! I guarantee you the reason I can appreciate words like hub, hertz, electromagnetism and so forth are because of this franchise. Because, let's face it, physics 2 is no joke. EM waves shouldn't be fun. But to me they are.

When I'd heard you left Capcom, I thought this meant you were retired. I was really disappointed to learn that. More so to learn that Capcom still held the rights. A few years ago there was a night I couldn't sleep. I just kept thinking and thinking about what it would be like to revive the Mega Man franchise and create a great game out of it. I even toyed with the idea of saving enough money and somehow bumping into you in Japan and begging you to bring it back. That's how much this franchise meant to me. And like I said, I know, it's a little unhealthy, this obsession I have, but I'm prideful enough to dismiss any mockery I'll get for publicly revealing this here. Everyone (in real life) knows me as that Mega Man nerd and I'm glad they do. And they will continue to.

I'm rambling, sorry. I just really wanted to take advantage of this AMA session. It's been a stressful week of classes. I'll just close here:

I was absolutely elated hearing your kickstarter for Mega Man 9...I meant Mighty Number 9, lol. I seriously just subconsciously typed "Mega Man" I'm not even going to change it. Just in case you didn't believe I was serious about my obsession. Anyway, I backed it up within an hour of its reveal. This means so much to me that you can continue the legacy that's always inspired me to keep moving forward and dream of bigger and better things. If I'd never gotten in the Mega Man franchise, I'm sure I would not be the person I am today. That's a fact. Your franchise changed my life. For the better, arguably the best. Thank you so much. I wish you luck in your future with this new game. I absolutely cannot wait. Thank you.

Edit: Thank you for the gold! Wow, didn't see that coming for such tldr comment.

I really like the way you do your videos. Been a subscriber for a while. I think it was around the helicopter video series. Looking forward to future releases!

Also, my little brother asks: How's it like to be the first to die by a creeper in that Minecraft LAN party?

We're here to answer any questions you might have on youth entrepreneurship, hardware manufacturing, and crowdfunding.

I have a question about all 3. Where do you start? Do you first try to gather a team of like minded individuals? How would you recruit them even with a concrete idea? Do you go to the investors first? A mentor? Advertise on craigslist? etc

I guess a better question would be to ask you guys how you all met and decided to work together on this concept. What were the steps that followed regarding finding investors or getting capital in general? How do you approach manufacturing? Is it in-house, external?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, I'm just really curious.
