What's your thoughts on this like this? http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2013/jun/23/wine-tasting-junk-science-analysis

After all taste is a very subjective matter to say the least. And also an industry which would be easy for a seller to lie in based on trust in a lot of cases.

Boy do we have the thread for you!

Nope. He's saying that unlike American born Americans who were born there and had to do nothing to choose, or work to stay/get into America.

Immigrants specifically chose America over their home country and all other countries. Showing they hold the country in high regard, whilst also seeing all the opportunities it presents them.

Getting work Visa's and Greencards is a lot of work in many cases. Some times moving to American can take many years. These people worked their arses off to gain access to the states. Battling through the system to prove themselves.

Basically these people made huge commitments to America before ever living there, they have a very unique perspective on America that someone can't hold by being born into it.

0 effort goes into being born there. Blind luck.

All the effort goes into choosing it over your home country and spending possibly years to get where you want.

That's what I would reckon he's going on about. Whether you agree with it or not is another matter.
