The cost of UBI is outrageous.

Claiming it doesn’t cause inflation is asinine and has a deep disconnect from understanding of economics.

The cost of UBI in the US is ~$3T. That’s more money than the MLB, NBA, NHL, La Liga, Musk and Bezos combined by a long shot.

Why would we ever go away from targeted assistance and waste this additional capital on people who don’t need it. We can smooth welfare cliffs if need be but that’s significantly cheaper than UBI.

Nonetheless, if you claim govt inefficiency, I rather spend $100b trying to fix that than waste $3T in perpetuity.

I've basically never watched mma and that was probably the most bad ass thing I've ever seen , just made a new fan.

My two cents just as someone in the finance industry.

Wall Street Journal is great. Has a bunch of topics and you can essentially follow them over time to see how predictions go/what actually happens. (I.e. gas prices article written in June vs one written in July)

So we rather increase taxes and increase spending by orders of magnitude rather than educate and make welfare programs more accessible?

What about the issue of disproportion help, those in HCOL v LCOL need different amounts of support?

This does not make sense. Targeted help is more efficient and beneficial.
