Do you drink from the tap or use a bottled water service? How has no one asked this?

How can I apply to have my wife's student loans payed for? What programs would you recommend I look into? More importantly, what can I do to help keep others from ending up in my current situation:

I married my wife knowing she had over 100k in Student Loans. Her combined minimum payments for the loans are over $800 a month. This had kept us from purchasing a home, saving much less than we could for retirement.

Since we met I've been in charge of the finances. I dug us out of credit card debt and made our lives sustainable, but that debt will always be a crippled limb keeping is from obtaining goals we have set.

If one of us were to ever lose our jobs we would be forced to ruin our credit and go into bankruptcy. I chose to accept this burden out of love for my wife, but it's devastating that our lives are hindered from my wife trying to better herself with education.

My wife is a program director for a company that does "assisted living" for mentally disabled adults. She is the kindest person I've ever met. I wish I could give to her what she gives to so many others, hope.
