Hello, Erka! I have a question about my home setup and your opinion on it. I've got more firewalls in my home network than there are fences at the U.S - Mexico border. Mostly Fortigate. I've also created a DMZ separating the external network from my internal which I use to safeguard my file server which mostly consist of various videos such as anime and various adult content which doubles as a honeypot since if the DMZ is breached all the attackers will most likely attempt to access my fileserver and by then I would be alert of the intrusion. My actual PC sits behind the DMZ area which has most of my work in it. I'm thinking of creating a DMZ cluster to slow down attackers and give me enough time to investigate and quarantine my home PC. What do you think?

I like to scrounge around for spare parts and equipment because I'm usually very cheap. Then I like to tinker around with it. I'm not even sure how secure it is myself unless I run some actual pen tests. I've got just a typical router from my ISP, 2 fortigate firewalls and a shitty PC that functions as a file server. 1 Fire connecting router to external network, fileserver in the middle, 2nd firewall connecting to my internal network to a internal switch which is connected to by work PC which is loaded with antivirus. Current setup is a simple textbook poor man's DMZ. Ill see what the pen tests say, then I might upgrade my DMZ to a cluster, aka add 2 more firewalls and turn it into a foursome which I think is like you say "excessive" but that's what tinkers do, pablo.
