Why is that “of course”?

Given the massive violations of user privacy tech firms already engage in, why do you thinking pointing to regulations would be convincing?

(I do not subscribe to any microchip conspiracy theories. I just have no reason to trust that regulations are the reason tech firms wouldn’t engage in this sort of activity.)
