no one is saying that the 97% consensus proves man-made climate change, it's showing how overwhelming the science is in support of something that a large number of non-scientists don't believe in.

People who typically refer to the scientific consensus do so as an argument to try and shut down debate on the subject.

In order to turn this around, we need a level of grassroots activism that we have not seen for many decades.

Wouldn't you agree that the Occupy movement and the Tea Party (at least initially) are grassroots movements that wanted an end to the growing Oligarchy, corporate handouts and a return to stable democracy? These groups have the right intentions, but no one seems to seriously try to do anything about it

Hi Mr. List, I'm not an aspiring economist but I do have a strong interest in economics and it's effect on our country and globalized world. Im going to ask the clichéd, hot topic question that's been in the media the past few years: 1)what is your opinion on taxes and their effect on the economy? Do you align more with Friedman and Hayek , or are you more on board with the Keynesian theory? 2) if there is a general consensus on the effects of taxation, why do people still maintain false beliefs?
