In Ultimate Cannon, Mahr Vehl is a member of the Kree race, and initially a spy sent to Earth in an attempt to prevent humans from developing interstellar travel, and eventually stands watch and joins the Avengers in Battle when Galactus comes into play. In the Ultimate comic he adopted the persona of physicist Dr. Philip Lawson, and works for S.H.I.E.L.D in New Mexico.
