Do you ever get used to America's beautiful scenery, or does it always stun you? Also, how often do you get to see the milky way at night? As a trucker I expect you must make stops at out of the way places away from light pollution.

It was quite big in the UK, it was known as the horse meat scandal. Horse meat had contaminated products that were advertised as beef, in some cases over 50% contamination.
The damage limitation argument was made that horse meat isn't bad for humans, conveniently ignoring the fact that no-one knew where these horses had come from, or whether they were carrying harmful chemicals.
I was wondering what difference there were in food laws which meant that this could happen in the EU, but not in the US.

Is it possible that the US could suffer the same event as happened in the 2013 European meat adulteration scandal? And if not, what laws are in place in the US that should be in place in Europe?
