Repair knowledge belongs to the world. We're sharing everything we possibly can, and working to change existing laws so we can share even more.

I hope you do profit, because this is very important.Obviously,you have a much bigger platform than I do to make change and I hope you do. You would profit albeit indirectly from a repair manual, because you do sell the replacement parts at almost OEM value. I have many times used your guides without buying your parts, but I also have contributed to the community in a useful way.Even the way you package and market your repair kits/ products adds value to them. People having the knowledge to fix their own electronics threatens these companies financially. Which is why I imagine they are trying to use copyright laws to make it very hard for you to publish a repair manual. I really appreciate what iFixit is doing and hope it does not get hit by a meteor. Although that would be a very specific area for a meteor to hit, so I might be slightly impressed.
