even though i agree with the sentiment of your point many countries do not have fptp and they will be happy to tell you that political evil still very much exists!

So i've been asking this question on a few of the faith subreddits, and it's been really productive and i've got a ton of interesting answers so figured i'd repost it here (apologies if you've seen it already)

At what age should a child be allowed to make the decision to stop going to church themselves (if they have decided they no longer believe in God)?

I would've assumed confirmation age, as this was my experience wheb declining to take that sacrament. This was a suprisingly uncommon answer though!

Thanks for the response, hope you don't mind another, have wondered on this for a while but not been in a position to ask someone of the cloth for a long time!

I've been wondering why Jesus going to the Temple and flipping tables ( IIRC there was a whip involved? ) was a bit, sinful I guess? I don't doubt that in the story there wasn't a good reason to do so, but using voilent methods seem a bit off? I feel like if someone in our lives now used the same methods to achieve something of similar (goodness of outcome I guess?) a majority would call it morally wrong).

I initially thought the seeming paradox could be solved by some "but it's jesus doing it he has a right for some reason related to it being his fathers temple", but I'd assume there's an exact one to one relationship between how Jesus acted/would act and how we act

thanks :)
