Well, the idea is that somebody eventually will use the oil and burn it. And so it "spills" into the atmosphere. It doesn't matter whether you have enough safety precautions or not. The oil you pump out of the crust will inevitably be used to poison our planet. The mere fact that you're evading the actual question and instead make a statement about how responsibly you try to avoid spills shows us quite clearly what kind of immense brainwashing the oil corporations keep their staff docile with.
