The internet is not very nurturing, but I think it's possible to impose strong filters on Reddit if you have a core set of tenets that you want the AI to follow.

Also, with Reddit, you could let thoughts "digest" over a pre-determined amount of time. There are two reactions after all, initial and long-term. I see a live chat-feed as being the initial reactions that we all get in the moment that something happens, and a forum as being a conscience with more growth and development based on a set of laws that you would determine. With Twitch you would get the primal side of intelligence, but with Reddit you could get the more contemplated, calculated side.
