Only 30? I had to have 220. Not counting the ~1000 cacrep (national counseling accreditation body) required ones.

I find it strange she only had to have 30 hours experience to treat alcohol and drug patients. The national accrediting body requires 220 (at least it did in 2012), in addition to roughly 1000 hours in internship and under supervision.

More proof would be good. That's really off/very atypical of the field.... VERY.

This makes me think of the whole Charlie Sheen debacle. I wonder how many women had no idea... And then there was that weird huge gift of money or something to Lindsay Lohan right after his tiger blood phase when she supposedly escorts on the down low. I wonder the likelihood of him being sued by various Hollywood actresses is?

Went to grad school for counseling/not the OP: But yes you should feel comfortable asking. I had clients ask me things like that all the time. I never thought it was strange, I was glad to answer. Plus the counseling relationship works best when you are as forthright with your concerns as possible. Good luck!
