She was a Navy SEAL, badged. She was serving with SEAL team 6 but some say she wasn't actually a true member because she didn't go through green team. TL:DR - she was a Navy SEAL, she served with DEVGRU, she never went through the the DEVGRU training pipeline.

Congratulations on being the first female Navy SEAL. I know technically you were a man but still. I know the SEAL community grants you a lot of respect because of your accomplishments however what is your though on LGBT people serving specifically in SOF roles? Being a trans person yourself do you think that it is unfair that trans people are not allowed to perform In those roles or do you agree with the current rules of not allowing trans people to service in a SOF capacity?

Hello, thank you for your work. I have always likened journalists who cover difficult situations to military members in war Zones. What motivates you to go into incredibly difficult situations and stay there knowing you could die a horrible death. What is going through your mind when the shit is hitting the fan?
