Hey! First of all, I think you're doing important work, keep it up! Second, do you have any interest in fan-made games that take place in an established universe? I'm taking about romhacks, mods, custom engines, or simpler "make your own level" features in games.

I'm only active in a few of these communities myself (Pokemon, Fire Emblem, and Beat Saber), but there's a beautiful world of sometimes good, sometimes bad, but always honest and raw fan-created content out there. Any interest in covering that, despite it not exactly fitting the indie games label?

Absolutely! I'm one of the thousands of not millions of "people who swear they're gonna make a game someday" without all that much to show for it, but I can show you around those communities, sure.

I don't know what kind of game you're looking to make, but I would definitely suggest an established game-making tool, like RPGMaker. I've played and seen a lot of interesting things people have managed to create with that sort of pre-existing structure, and the community is always helpful and welcoming to new people, especially if you actually read the FAQs and give it your best shot before you ask for help with an issue.

Unfortunately, outside of a dedicated tool like that (at least in my experience), it's pretty hard to make anything unique without some amount of coding. But if you're anything like me, with enough time spent and enough of a brilliant picture in your mind about what you want and how good it's going to be, learning a bit of coding doesn't seem so bad anymore.

So, I absolutely love your overarching ideas, the pieces that I can see coming together in your head before you write / draw the comic. I'm imagining you thinking about a device that receives information from the future and turning that into a small business, with the "punchline" of the two main characters relationship heralded by the photo. They are almost all amazing and wonderful and of shocking quality.

But what really shines in your work, I think, are the additional details that make the setting so credible. I'm thinking of the "futuristic character condensing" in Message 652 - like writing 11 as + on all the calendars. It just blew me away how plausible that sort of detail is, when you're trying to predict a future society. Do you usually come up with those details simultaneously with the main concept of the comic, or are they thought of separately?

Also, if I was an artist like you, I think I'd like to know that people are paying attention to those details and appreciating them - and boy, those details make your comics extraordinary. I'll be looking for them as long as you make comics. :)
