Not a Soviet joke but a GDR joke about the Soviet Union.

One east German is reading the newspaper to another and says. Wow the US just declared it's become a communist state. His comrade replies Fuck!

What's wrong Klaus.

Well we can barely feed the Soviet Union how the hell are we supposed to support the US as well now.

I had a Polish friend who was allowed to privately publish his own children's books during communist times. There were many crazy rules he had to follow in order to be a private enterprise during communist times but still he was able to do it. One of the craziest things is that he had to send a large percentage of his books to the Soviet Union . . . which is fine and dandy until you start thinking . . . just how many polish speaking children are there in the Soviet Union.

It's not like they were asking for dozens or even hundreds in order to be checked for illegal propaganda . . . They were sending tens of thousands of them monthly.

Just curious but how are you ensuring that international students pay their debts if they leave the US.

I'm sure that must be a concern as not all students stay in the US.

Also what default rate are you expecting? Or rather what % of students are you expecting to not ever get a job. I mean in today's economy yes it's in your favor but that of 2008 I can imagine it would be harsh for the university.

Do you wait indefinitely for a student to get a job or do you consider the tuition forgiven if they are unable to be employed for example after 5 years.

I went to Japan once. Fruits there are crazy expensive. I couldn't figure it out. Cheap me absolutely refused to pay $30+ for a mango or the rock bottom prices of $7-8 per apple/ peach.

I finally broke down and paid $12 for like 1/2 lb of grapes and by god if those werent the most delicious fucking nuggets of sugar. And that's when I discovered Jollly Ranchers must've been invented in Japan because it's the only place where I've seen grapes taste like a jolly rancher.

Don't let your dentist have your SSN without a fight. Don't let them have your real birthday without asking why they need it and asking if it's required.<<

Wife's a dentist and I do the back office work. . . Please don't say this. We actually need the SSN if you have insurance and the DOB is required regardless just for medical history reasons.

The big problem here and it's not our fault but a lot of insurers aren't issuing member id's etc and so they use the SSN as their membership number. If we don't have that number we can't bill your insurance or ask what benefits you have.

I understand the security involved regarding SSN's and if you're concerned with getting it stolen I recommend calling your dental insurance and asking them to send you a membership card if you don't have one. Also keep in mind that a lot if folks just add on their dental to their medical. Sometimes this number is the same but majority of the time it isn't. And quite often it's not even the same company for the dental as the medical although you pay both at the same time. So please contact your dental insurer for that membership Id.

Otherwise if you don't have dental insurance then we don't really need your SSN.
