What exercise regimen would you recommend to get close to the shape you are in now?

Holy shit dude, 500 pull-ups a day is insanity! (the good kind) If I was well rested and spaced sets of pull-ups throughout the day I could maybe manage just 100...Can never do more than about 20 in the space of 5 minutes though. Any tips to build endurance in those muscles?

Also nice to hear that you don't worry about Macros too much. I'm fit, but don't have as much muscle mass as I'd like. Wanted to pack on a few pounds, but was so confused by all the macro stuff in /r/fitness

That's it?

I think you might be underestimating how difficult it is to do lots of pull-ups...With proper form, pull-ups are actually a wonderful exercise, because they involve such a wide array of muscles. Everything from the muscles in your hands, to your biceps, pecs, shoulders, back, and abs are used. The reason most people can't do more than 5-10 at a time is because all these muscles fire off at once, and are constantly exerted until you get off the bar. It gets quickly tiring.

Assuming 8 hours of sleep, one would have to do 31-32 pull-ups hourly to get to the 500 mark. Might seem easy, like, "sure I could do 31 in an hour." But once you get to your 5th or 6th hour you'll really start to struggle. Not to mention this dude is also doing 500 crunches daily too.

But yeah, with pull-ups and crunches alone you can have an amazing upper body. It won't get you muscle-mass gains as fast as weightlifting might, but it will over time. And you'll toned as fuck.
