do you think retraining and getting into the industry at 55 is too late ?

Nothing as such would be put at stake, the presumed step down in income would not be lifestyle threatening .

I already work on big data wrt radio coverage datasets for large Mobile Phone company, and I use "hobby" python in analysing that. I have no formal coding or BIG Data analytics qualifications.

Its the most favourite part of my Job, so my thought was make it my full job and formalise into that career path, for next 10 years say ?
