Not op, but my department has them in all of our firehouses except for one. All of ours have a weight activated hatch that seals off the living area from the bays so the diesel exhaust doesn't get into our living quarters.

We pay zero attention to those stickers. I've pulled 2 cats (both alive) out of house fires. Depending on when we find the animal we'll rescue it. If we come across an animal while searching for a person that animal is not going to be saved right away. I would of course take a pet outside before I start saving other belongings

I got a call from a grown man because he got the hiccups and felt like he could not breath right. They went away before the ambulance was out of the neighborhood. He ended up walking out of the ER without being checked in.

Most have those but they only are for when the trucks are leaving. The hatches are more for when the trucks are returning to the station.

I tried to watch an episode but it was so far from reality I couldn't stand it. Rescue Me was pretty close to real as far as the day to day life at a firehouse. Most of the fire scenes were bad but I could get past them since the rest was close to real
