What is Al Jazeera doing to try to change it's perception in the United States? Is it trying to enter the market and how is it doing so?

Yes. BBT is successful because it draws everybody in (except redditors). I just got into the show this past weekend and the wife and I are already half way through the 3rd season. The major reason why it drew me in was because of the accuracy of the jokes. The hardcore geek references are damned accurate even though they are very obscure. Like the video game references.
