Hey J, have you ever felt like people react more strongly towards your synthwave/darksynth releases than to releases in other genres?

Actually I had to rephrase my post since it started as more of an observation that you sometimes post what I perceive as passive aggressive jabs that hint at somewhat of disappointment when a release doesn't get the attention you think it deserves. Might be entirely in my imagination, though. ;-)

Thanks for coming back and answering my question in length, after the AMA officially ended. I appreciate it a lot and I'm totally behind your point.

As a bonus here's the rambling that usually comes before an AMA question, in case you missed it: I have strong roots in metal but Perturbator (and Carpenter Brut) opened my ears for synthwave and darksynth in particular. Not only that, but Perturbators Dangerous Days (actually the first repress) was one of the first records in my then nacent vinyl collection. Since then I've been collecting all of your synth releases and many from other labels. Today I have a 108 synthwave records in my collection and it's growing by the month. So you've basically started an obsession - thanks for that. ;-)

I sometimes wish I could collect more genres (like doom and sludge metal or melodic black metal) but the hobby is already hard on my bank account, so apart from synthwave releases I only get the records that really, REALLY blow my mind. Anyway, I feel you when you are disappointed about lacking response - hence the question. Thanks again for sharing your toughts and keep on the exceptional work!
