Why can't I feel empathy and injustice reading OPs story just because I'm a dude? That's not really fair.. I know I sound stupid for saying this, but sometimes, when girls say stuff like this, it makes me feel pretty bad, but I feel like I'd get laughed at if it I said anything.

I bet it's some mix of the fact that women are less likely to resort to violence, cops only need to feel threatened to use deadly force, and male cops not feeling threatened by women.

Don't worry, you're just a hipster and unknown laws regarding interstellar transportation don't have to make themselves known to your incredulity.

Yeah, but everyone needs to be called out on that bullshit, not allowed to fester in common shittiness because "hey, everyone does it". That makes a world of nasty, whereas a few "MUH GENETICS" jokes can save lives. Say "there's a better way. I'm going to ignore the haters" all the way to the morgue, but those people that are "assholes" to you, still care enough about, at the least, your role in society to want you to change, and they want to make the biggest impact they can make in the shortest amount of time, so they poke you in just the places your disease makes you weakest, to show you where to start.
