I wholeheartedly support the right to jailbreak your phone, but what are your thoughts about the responsibility of the manufacturer to you as a customer after you do so? Too often people are used to working in the world of x86 desktop platforms where you really have to try to actually cause damage with software, in mobile electronics there's many realtime systems to be managed, the failure to do so properly being potentially hardware-ruining. Your phone probably has 10 to 30 unique power domains. Sequencing them is the job of software and doing that incorrectly can be disastrous.
