I assume Icelandic would be fairly easy for scandinavian people to pick up? If i'm not wrong it's based on old norse which they just developed and said "fuck it" and started inventing new shit.

I've met a few icelanders who've moved to Sweden, they picked up Swedish insanely fast. Went to school with a guy from Iceland, had no clue that he was from Iceland because he didn't have any dialect at all. Asked him how long he'd been in Sweden and it was barely a year.
