Yes and no. A lot of utilities call it "carbon-free" energy instead of green to sidestep that particular question. The utility I work for has two plants and bases a lot of nice numbers on that energy, and I personally haven't seen much push back on that from the public. No new generation though, not even close to being considered.

In any case, what are 4" magnets of that strength used for? I'm assuming that if they make them then at least one person has wanted one for some reason, any idea as to that reason?

I've heard cool stories about Lexus mechanics getting AR lessons but nothing closer to the manufacturing side, and I can imagine quite a few possibilities. Have you seen any interesting examples of virtual or augmented reality being employed in the manufacturing sector?
