The camps, I think, are the most overwhelming reason for the negative perception of NK (yes, apart from starvation, dictatorship/totalitarianism, birth quantity laws, severely limited speech, etc etc). I can't imagine you were even allowed to drive close to them, let alone witness them for yourself.

I'm confident you wouldn't want to even if you could, but then again you did visit NK.
